The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has produced a new brochure to inform veterans and service members about using their educational benefits to take entrepreneurship courses at SBDCs. Community Express Loan Program: The SBA Community Express program is specifically designed to increase working capital, help business owners meet daily operating expenses and accelerate growth. Community Express loans are in inexpensive alternative to expensive credit card debt, and provide a regular payment schedule. Borrowers can receive up to $25,000 cash in one lump sum without any collateral.

The Community Express Loan Program serves the following business sectors (51 percent owned and controlled businesses):

• Women
• Minorities
• Veterans
• Low to moderate income areas, Hub Zones, and other SBA designated areas.
